For Your Business

This slower time is in fact a great time to strategize and to plan your business, to expand your business online, and to follow up and build stronger relationships with your audience and customers.

In this section, I am going to share with you a few tips and resources that can be useful for your business.

Business Tip # 1: Connecting Through Apps and Social Media

Cutting down on face-to-face time does not mean cutting off communication.  Nowadays, with most everyone spending a lot of time on social media and mobile apps, keeping in touch has never been easier.

So, why not use this slower time to connect with all your friends, family, and (potential) customers, send them your regards and helpful tips/developments during this time to continue to build your relationships and rapports.

Business Tip # 2: Building Your Business Online

One of the tools I really love using to expand my business online and to stay in touch with my customers is called Zoom.  Zoom is a popular video conferencing platform/app that I have been using for a few years.  It has many functionalities ~ for example, you can start meetings (and webinars in its upgraded version), share slides, do recordings, and it is super easy to use.

Business Tip # 3: Pre-Scheduling and
Managing Your Social Media Campaigns

In today’s business world, your social media presence is important.  Do you want to use this slower time to build your credibility online with your target audience?  If so, planning, pre-scheduling and managing your social media campaigns is a must.

Hootsuite is an online platform I have been using for years.  It can be used to effectively manage and schedule all your social media accounts, from Facebook to Linkedin to Twitter to Google+, all in one place.  This tool will make sure you never miss a message from potential customer as well as provide insights into what type of posts resonate most with your target audience.  It is easy to use and there are resources on its website to support you.

Business Tip # 4: Outsourcing for Small Businesses

I love Fiverr!  It feels like a treasure hunt every time I visit the site.  Fiverr is one of my favorite sites to find freelancers.

Wanting to have a logo for your business done but not sure how?  You can get someone to design your business logo for as little as US$5 on Fiverr.  Want to design a business card?  Get your social media graphics done?  Create an animated marketing video?  Get help with SEO, email marketing, or social media marketing?  Yup, you can find someone to do many of these things for as little as US$5 on Fiverr ~ and that is why the site is called Fiverr!  It is so much fun!

Personal development is essential if you want to live your life to your full potential and to reach your dreams.  So why not use this slower time to step up and accelerate your learning?  In this section, I am going to share with you a few tips and resources.

Personal Development Tip # 1:
Borrowing Books from Local Library

Why not visit your local library and borrow some books?  From my experience, the library isn’t usually too crowded.  So if you are wearing your masks and are taking care of your personal hygiene, this could be a great place for you to get some wonderful books and start expanding your knowledge.  And the best part is – it is FREE!

Just this last week alone, I have visited my local library twice, it was safe because there were only a handful of people there, and I managed to borrow quite a few books.  Now, do remember to disinfect or sanitize the books first before bringing them home and always remember to wash your hands often.

Personal Development Tip # 2:
Buying Books

If your local library is more crowded or if you want to avoid going to public places at all cost (or you simply want to keep great books around), then buying a few books online can be a great idea.

My favorite site for shopping for books is Amazon because it has so many titles to choose from.

Personal Development Tip # 3:
Reading Kindle (Digital Books)

Now, if you don’t want to have to wait for your physical books to arrive, or if you want to be more environmentally friendly (and to save storage space!), then I recommend you to grab a few Kindle books on Amazon.

Kindle books are digital books that can be downloaded instantly and be read on any device with the Kindle App.  In other words, there is no shipping/waiting time – you can literally start reading in just a few minutes!
